Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Patrick is the youngest of four boys. By the time he was 12, he started working in his parents’ business, and, at the age of 14, he took charge of managing the store when his mother began to face health challenges.
During this time, Patrick pursued his passion for flying, getting his pilot’s license at the age of 16. His interests included being a motocross and stunt rider, an MMA fighter, and playing football and baseball. After graduation, Patrick was accepted into the Air Force Academy but chose to become an air traffic controller instead. However, due to the Reagan strikes, Patrick ended up losing his dream position. Rather than being deterred, he went on to start several successful businesses.
Following his passion for aviation, Patrick moved to Florida and began flying for Aero Ambulance International. During these flights, he saw a need for food distribution centers in the Caribbean islands, so he worked with a partner to create the needed distribution centers.
At this point, Patrick decided that he wanted to start saving for his future. He didn’t like some of the advice he received, so he decided to learn about the industry and went to work with Travelers/CitiGroup. He was a regional vice president by the time he decided to leave in 2003 to create Landing Financial Group, Inc. with Kristi Knight.
Patrick has passed the Series 6, Series 26 and Series 65 securities exams and is registered as an Investment Adviser Representative and can offer a variety of investments and insurance products and services, and has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and annuity industry. He volunteers his time with the Veterans Benefits American Foundation and helped build a local children’s charity.
Kristi began her financial services career in 1999 after working in accounting and financial management for various organizations. Her experience as regional manager and compliance officer provided her with a strong foundation for her career in the financial services industry.
In 2003, Kristi ventured out to create Landing Financial Group, Inc. with Patrick Sandner.
Kristi has helped build a local children’s charity and is a member of the National Association of Professional Women and the National Care Planning Council.

After farming, Jim started with Del Monte Foods as a Management Trainee, and over the next 27 years and 7 relocations, rose to become a Vice President of Operations. When attending a Retirement Preparation Class, he was struck by the need for and importance of retirement preparation education, and chose to focus his efforts in this area full-time.

Born in Suffield, Connecticut, he was the oldest of 5 children raised on his grandfather’s farm. His childhood was filled with farm chores, playing sports, and sharing special moments with his family. His grandfather had given land to all his children, so his neighbors were all aunts, uncles, and cousins, in fact 27 first cousins were always nearby. This early life experience instilled a strong sense of family and community which endures to this day.
In 1977 his father’s employer transferred the family to Palm Beach County. He graduated from Palm Beach Gardens High School and attended Florida State University. Financial concerns required that he find funding to continue his education so in 1984 he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Combat Military Police Officer to attain the support of the GI Bill. After serving over 4 years in various locations throughout the world and the U.S., he returned to Palm Beach County with his wife Stephanie expecting the first of their 4 daughters. He went back to work for Publix Super Markets and enrolled at Florida Atlantic University. After earning a B.A. in Business Administration from FAU, he explored other employment options but found a position within Publix, a Skills Trainer, which provided challenges and experiences that allowed him to use the education he had fought so hard to attain. The Skills Trainer position called for travel all over the state of Florida as well as Georgia, Publix’s newly entered market. It required hiring, staffing training the staff for new locations prior to their opening as well as support for their grand opening and first several weeks of business. This experience exposed him to people with a wide variety of backgrounds and financial needs. He enjoyed assisting them in not only their Publix required skills but a variety of life skills such as establishing a bank account, providing for their current financial needs as well as planning for their financial future.
After serving in various management positions within Publix for 47 years, he recognized that retirement was approaching and decided to attend a Retirement Preparation Class. During this class he realized how little he knew about retirement and proper retirement planning and questioned why more of this information had not been provided sooner. Moreover, he recognized that his co-workers, parents, sisters, cousins, and other family members as well as friends and neighbors needed access to this information so they could be prepared for a secure financial future.
